Z/C Purlins
Z/C purlins from NUVO Steelcraft are cold roll‑formed secondary members used to support roof and wall sheeting in pre‑engineered buildings, industrial sheds, and other steel structures. Designed for high strength‑to‑weight ratio, these purlins provide excellent structural efficiency while keeping overall steel consumption economical. Manufactured in precise sizes and lengths, they help create stable, dimensionally accurate frameworks that are quick to assemble at the site.
NUVO Steelcraft manufactures C and Z purlins in various thicknesses, usually from 1.5mm to 3 mm, to meet different span and load requirements.
The sections are roll-formed by quality Steel that meets relevant IS standards and are available in custom cut lengths up to about 12 meters, which reduces on-site cutting, waste, and manipulation. To extend the service life, the purlins are offered in a galvanized or coated finish that provides strong corrosion resistance and extends the service life even in difficult outdoor conditions.
The geometry of NUVO Steelcraft Z and C purlins is optimized to provide superior flexural strength and rigidity for both roofs and walls. Z-purlins can be lapped and nested to achieve continuous spans, improving load distribution and reducing deflection on large bays. Pre-punch holes can be provided according to approved drawings to speed up the bolt, ensure alignment, and simplify on-site installation, making the installation process cleaner and more efficient.
The use of NUVO Steelcraft Z/C purlins provides a number of practical advantages to manufacturers, contractors, and end users. The high strength-to-weight ratio allows for lighter load-bearing structures without compromising safety, while ease of handling and quick bolting help reduce assembly time and labor costs. Consistent quality, straightness, and finishes result in precise and reliable assembly that seamlessly integrates with roofing slabs, siding, and other building components, contributing to a professional and durable steel structure.
